Tonight we went to the Christmas party for Aaron's station. We always have a great time with the guys he works with and their wives. They are a very fun group! This year they had an ugly sweater contest and they each put in $5, winner takes all! It was so hilarious to see all those manly firefighters in those ridiculous outfits! Haha!!

Abram's Christmas Party - VPE

We had such a fun time partying with Abram's 1st grade class today! We had pizza, decorated sugar cookies, ate some yummy treats, made a cute ornament and they opened their Santa sacks FULL of presents from their classmates!

Asher's Christmas Party @ FBC

Today was Asher's party at school.  They performed all the songs they've been singing in chapel during the Christmas season. Of course they were adorable! Asher is a little character! Surprise, Surprise! He was giving us a little extra during his performance... ninja chops, kicks, hanging the jingle bells on his ears... at one point he even turned backwards and did a little backbend! He is a mess!! They were all so cute and funny!

After getting nice and full it was off to the 3 bounce houses they had set up for them in the gym.  Not sure how the jumping on a full tummy turned out but I didn't hear any horror stories so I assume they were just fine and had a BLAST!!

Christmas at Pops & Honeywana's

As is tradition now with the Burgess Bunch we take a weekend in December and spend it all together! We load up in the trailer and head to Santa Land with our hot chocolate and blankets, then we have a Mexican food feast! After our tummies are so full we could pop we all sit in the living room and tell the Christmas Story (the real one - from the Bible). After that we all open presents from each other, the kids play with their new toys and we just enjoy each others company! We then gather around the table for games and dessert! This year we played bingo for prizes that my mom bought! Every family went home with a DVD! FuN!!! Then we all settle the kids in for a movie and they have a slumber party.  The next morning we cook a big breakfast and then we will all watch a movie in our PJs, play board games... We just have a good time enjoying our wonderful family!!

Abram's Christmas Program

We were so excited that it was finally time for the 1st grade Christmas Program! Abram had been telling us about all the songs they'd been rehearsing and we couldn't wait to see their special presentation!! JeJe & Papaw, Honeywana & Pops, Daddy, Mommy and Asher were all there to enjoy the show.
